Welcome to The Toy Chest Collective! By becoming a member, you agree to the terms outlined in this Service Agreement. Please read carefully before participating in our toy swap program.

1. Membership Terms & Cancellation

• Membership Options: Members may select from the Premier or Periodic membership plans.

• Billing & Renewals: Membership fees are billed monthly or bi-monthly, depending on the plan selected, and will automatically renew unless canceled.

• Cancellation Policy: Members may cancel their membership at any time. However, no refunds will be issued for partially used months.

2. Toy Ownership & Donations

• Toy Contributions Become Collective Property: Any toy brought in for swapping becomes part of The Toy Chest Collective and may not be reclaimed.

• No Personal Ownership of Swapped Toys: Members may borrow and enjoy toys but do not own the items they take home.

• Right to Decline Donations: The Toy Chest Collective reserves the right to decline toys that do not meet quality, safety, or cleanliness standards.

3. Toy Care, Return, & Accountability

• Toy Library Model: Members agree to treat borrowed toys with care and return them in similar condition as received.

• Lost or Broken Toys: If a toy is lost or returned broken beyond normal wear and tear, the member must:

• Replace the toy with one of equal point value OR

• Pay the cash equivalent of $2 per swap point

• Routine Losses: If a member repeatedly loses or damages toys, their membership may be paused or terminated at the discretion of The Toy Chest Collective.

4. Swap System & Fair Use

• Point-Based Trading: Members earn points based on the size and category of the toys they contribute. These points are used to "purchase" swapped toys.

• Fair Trade Expectation: Members may not exchange low-value toys for high-value ones outside the established point system.

• Toy Return Deadlines: Members must return toys within the agreed-upon swap cycle. Extended borrowing may result in membership suspension.

5. Liability Disclaimer

• No Responsibility for Toy Safety: The Toy Chest Collective is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or issues resulting from toy use.

• Parent/Guardian Responsibility: Members assume full responsibility for inspecting and supervising toy use.

• No Warranties: While The Toy Chest Collective cleans and inspects all toys, they are provided “as is” with no guarantees.

6. Conduct & Community Guidelines

• Respectful Participation: Members must follow all swap rules, respect event spaces, and engage in community interactions in a kind and respectful manner.

• Termination Clause: Membership may be revoked due to repeated violations of policies, including failure to return toys, excessive loss or damage, or disruptive behavior.

7. Updates & Changes to Terms

• Policy Modifications: The Toy Chest Collective reserves the right to update policies, pricing, or guidelines with 30 days’ notice to members.

• Member Agreement: Continued participation in the toy swap program after changes are implemented constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

By signing up for a membership with The Toy Chest Collective, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
